Mission Statement The mission of the Migdalia Rubio Foundation is to give scholarships to economically disadvantaged elementary and high school students in Tijuana, Mexico.

The Migdalia Rubio Foundation is committed to supporting students by providing all necessities for their academic success.

Their intent is also to encourage the students’ families to become active and involved participants in the basic education of their children.

The scholarship will provide students with the following:

  • One year of tuition
  • Uniforms and shoes
  • Books and school supplies
  • Daily school lunches
  • Special school event clothing
  • Sports equipment
  • Artists’ workshops

Process for SelectionThe students for this scholarship will be selected based on an economic study of the neighborhoods to take place in the summer of 2010. The selected students will in turn provide progress reports to the foundation on their grades and attendance.
