Welcome to the Youth International Philanthropy Council’s (YIPC) Campaign Page

The YIPC is a new, youth run international philanthropy group working in collaboration with the International Community Foundation to help teens from the San Diego area make a meaningful difference to those less fortunate around the world. YIPC is the brain-child of Morgan Hicks, an incoming Junior high school student at Bishops School in La Jolla, California.

The mission of YIPC is to encourage youth involvement in philanthropy and provide the International Community Foundation with a youthful perspective. Currently we are working on our first project, to support a Mexican based nonprofit named IPODERAC located in Atlixco, Puebla.

IPODERAC is an organization in Mexico that takes in abandoned and neglected boys ages 6-18 that have been taken off of the street, gives them a home and jobs that teach them ethical conduct, respect for each other as human beings, and the idea of partnership. Currently IPODERAC is attempting to raise money to build a recreation center to help with the emotional and psychological rehabilitation of the boys, and we are trying to help them. Our goal is to raise $20,105.
